Vacationist League will play their first show of Summer on Saturday, July 18th at the Bistro at the Bijou. The Bistro is located downtown, adjacent to the Bijou Theatre at the corner of Cumberland Avenue and Gay Street. The Bistro has excellent food; there is no cover charge; you are cordially invited.

Our new CD, Bypassin' The Barroom, will be available at the show.

"Bypassin' The Barroom" is the title of the new CD by Vacationist League. It will be released on March 4th.

Vacationist League, John
Tilson and Brandon Beavers, will perform on Saturday, October 11, 2008
at the Bistro at the Bijou in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee. The
music will begin at 9 pm. The Bistro has excellent food, drinks, and
atmosphere galore-- we are most appreciative to them for the
opportunity to present to you our highly original, lyrical songs.
Just as the tree that falls in the forest with no one around to hear
it makes no sound, we don't actually play this gig unless you show up.
That's a lot of pressure, I realize, but you're an important person--
get used to it!

Brandon and I have been playing music together for more than ten
years, and we continue to enjoy creating and presenting music for and
to you. Hope you can join us for another musical offering on Saturday
evening.

The Bistro at the Bijou is located on S. Gay Street, next to the
Bijou Theatre at the corner of Cumberland Avenue and Gay Street.

If you are attending the Brewer's Jam on Saturday, come join us
afterward to either sober up or finish yourself off! We'll put the
taxi on speed dial.

There is no cover charge-- we have a self-service kiosk for tips--
and all three of our CD's Pleasure Map, Unjust Intonations, and Feed
The Kitty are available at the show.

This Labor Day Weekend, take a Staycation with Vacationist League. Let our highly seasoned (like Jerky?) musical travail agents John Tilson and Brandon Beavers take you on a musical journey from the beginning of a song, through the middle to the ending of the same song, then from the ending of said same song to the beginning of a different song, through the middle to the ending of the same different song. Wet hair. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. The show is August 30, 2008 at the Bistro at the Bijou Theatre. You are cordially invited to attend.

It is good to have the y and z back in their places. V L will be back in the Bistro on Saturday, July 12, playing our Lyrical, Satirical, and Empirical music just for you. You are cordially invited to attend. The show will begin at exactly 9 pm.

Vacationist League will play on Friday May 9, 2008 at the Bistro at the Bijou Theatre. We really enjoy playing at the Bistro. They have excellent food, great service, and ambiance galore. The show will begin at exactly 9. After all, we're Knoxville's most punctual musical ensemble.

Our next performance is on Friday, April 18, at the Bistro by the Bijou. We will begin right around 9 pm.

On the sixth day of the third month, she will come and we will stand beside her. Ani DiFranco will play at the Bijou Theater on Thursday March 6th; Vacationist League will play right next door immediately afterward. Spandex flex is a bit of a stretch, ides minus eight is a bit obfuscate. Perhaps it would be better just to say, hey, we'll play at 9:30. Oh, and all y'all are cordially invited and such.

Vacationist League will play on Monday, January 21 at the Bistro by the Bijou. This is the second performance in our Coattail Riders™ concert series. We'll be riding the train of the great Richard Thompson! Our show is free with a RT ticket stub, and free-er without. You are cordially invited.

We're playing right next door to the great singer and songwriter Loudon Wainwright III. Hopefully, we'll be not guilty by association!

Vacationist League will be playing at the Time Warp Tea Room on Friday, September 14, 2007 @ 8 pm. Also playing is Moriah Harris, a fiddler, singer, and songwriter from Nashville.

If you've ever perused the user reviews at Harmony Central, you recognize the headline question. Imagine my surprise upon arriving at The Acoustic Coffeehouse (Johnson City) last night and discovering that I left my guitar at home! Many thanks to Jim Benelisha for the loaner guitar, and our thanks to the staff and patrons of Acoustic Coffeehouse for their enthusiastic support.

Earlier this year, I had the great privilege to perform at the Charleston County Public Library as part of their Local Blend series. Many thanks to Kevin Crothers and the staff at the Charleston County Public Library for the invitation to play. A link to the video of the performance is on the links page.
